I wonder sometimes when this is going to happen actually. Blogging has become one of the hip trends not only for those geeks and nerds, but also for those normal groups of community who have a lot to say and share. American's most favourite term aka "free-speech" somehow has been fully demonstrated on blogging. What normally bloggers blog then? Nothing other than their daily lives, traveling journals, comments or reviews about some stuff, paparazzi, copy-and-paste of news from other sites, or even some triple-x stuff of their own (well, you wouldn't be surprised to see some bloggers like to share their intimate side with billions of Internet users). Now, of course, some bloggers like to use this opportunity to make some noise on what they are not happy about their own countries, politics, etc. Malaysia is a multi-racial country yet still enforcing some quite-unfair policy (here, to avoid myself from being arrested, I won't say too much). So, one of the bloggers has been questioned by the police for some alleged racist thing mentioned on his blog (and this blogger is Malay), and another one is pressured by the authority for singing about Malaysia (well, he modified the lyrics of our national anthem with some truth -- and no one can handle the truth especially the authority).
Well, living in Malaysia is certainly a challenging task, especially for us Chinese. We are Chinese, yet we are not from mainland China. Therefore, mainland China will never care about us (look at what happened in Indonesia -- beware: the pictures on this site are very extreme). Malaysia, a multi-racial country where its population lives in harmony... (from the surface at least).

as you have said, we are malaysia chinese. we don't really have a say in malaysia. we can't complain about the unfair and injustice in malaysia, especially those things that happen on chinese. we will just have to bear with it...
Sam, why can't you complain about the injustice and unfairness? The world is globalizing and Malaysia is just as well your country. Everybody should be treated equal. Well, there should not be any difference just because you were born out of Chinese parents.
Well, just imagine that Indonesian that looks like Malays is so easy to get PR or Citizenship by Marrying a local Malay, while Chinese who has a China or Taiwan Wife, the wives are denied of Citizenship and also Permanent Resident Status. It is clearly that Racism is happening in Malaysia. To change the way of the government, people must really act together and voice out at once. Boycott the next election or vote for no confident. Well... if everything fails... we then can only wait for the Judgement of the Almighty upon all ourselves...
my uncle told me about this. when his friend was robbed by malays, the malays said, "we will take back whatever you chinese have taken away from us"
it sounds like an avenge to chinese, right??
it's so obvious that not all, but some of the malays really hate the existence of chinese in this country. it's not that we don't want to complaint. we couldn't. if our voices really as loud as we thought, we wouldn't have suffered all these injustice and unfairness since the independence of our country.
I should email my pal about this.
