Playstation extends its domain

Game Convention (GC) is going to be held in Leipzig, Germany from 23 August till 26 August 2007. I remember not long ago (last year if my memory serves me right) I have attended this fantastic event for gamers (boy, that certainly brings back some good memories). This time I certainly realize one of the bad things for leaving Netherlands is certainly missing a chance to attend something like that.

Anyway, this is not the point. Sony is certainly an ambitious (and maybe very notorious to a number of people) company. For its gaming division, Playstation 3 and Playstation Portable (albeit PS3 and PSP are allegedly struggling for its poorer sales compared to its rivals) are certainly two main products that are going to steal show. Sony has always wanted to extend its gaming domain to entertainment domain, i.e., by using PS3 as a entertainment center point in user's home, and by using PSP as its extended and portable media player interfacing with PS3. In this GC, Sony finally announced several plans: Go! Go! Go! (namely Go!Explore, Go!Messenger and Go!Video Download Service) for PSP and PlayTV as a TV turner and download for PS3 and PSP. Finally, something new from Sony and as a guy who have been involved in content management and yet to see any successful service/system out there, I am eager to see something like that soon!
