In Shanghai I could witness two extremes of people -- the freaking richest and the sad poorest. In the shuttle bus on the way to work, I could see those rushing attempt to make the both ends meet. Then, near the office, I could see those sitting in front of their so-called home, which is actually made from some ruins and garbages. They seem like waiting a turning point of their life coming. In front of the office, I could see those wearing pricey clothings driving beautiful cars arriving at the same time. Up in the office, I could hear those talking about earning some extra cash from stock trading or buying a nice bungalow (actually bungalow here is like those double-storey house in Malaysia, but the price is definitely unimaginable). After work in the gym I could also see some rich working out and talking about how rich they are (e.g. bought a Farralli or owned a number of houses, etc.). Then, on the way home, I could see the old man who is always there begging money, and some people who ignore the policemen doing some small business by putting up a stall beside the road. In one single day, I could see from one extreme to another (let alone in the weekend). Honestly, if a person who is not mature enough to overlook this type of materialistic and cruel reality, he or she could really be stuck in one impasse and never walk out of there. The rich will become richer, on the other hand, the poor will become poorer. I think this is a reality.

Well... what to do... unless China creates more middle income population, or else one day there will be riots like Indonesia when people are starving. But I dont think that day will come in China.

Actually China is like a land of opportunity with a lots of holes in their law and regulation where "smart" people can use it to make very very big profits. Especially in banking and financing. And also in real estate and share market.

Well... hopefully the bubble wont burst suddenly but let the air leak out gradually.
