Sinterklaas' candy - Pepernoten

不知不觉又快到年尾了，记得在荷兰的时候，在这一个时候，我的荷兰朋友都会买很多这一种叫做pepernoten的东西。 要不是今天我的荷兰同事很好的走过来给了我一点这一种小食物，我都不记得了这一种东西的味道。我不会非常的疯狂，但是，吃起来还真不错。味道有一点姜和胡椒加上一点甜甜的味道。和stroopwafel一样，是一种很容易致胖的食物。其实，pepernoten是关于荷兰一个类似圣诞节的节日，叫做Sinterklaas。吃的时候，还有一种怀念荷兰的感觉呢！奇怪吧!?

Soon, end of the year is impending. I remember around this time, my Dutch friends will buy some kind of food, i.e., pepernoten. If my Dutch colleague did not give me some pepernoten, I don't think I would remember the taste of it. I am not really crazy of this thing, but I guess it is not such bad taste. In fact, with some blend of taste of ginger, pepper, and sweet, it is not that bad at all. Same as stroopwafel, it is some kind of food that can really gain weight easily and rapidly. Actually pepernoten is a special food for a special festive in Netherlands, something like Christmas, the so-called Sinterklaas. In fact, when I was eating it, it made me miss Netherlands a bit. Strange isn't it?
