Bunch of movies

This winter basically I didn't really track any movies let alone watch any. And, lately since I have got some time for myself (and also could enjoy some movies with a good friend), I have watched Beowulf and The Golden Compass.

Beowulf was a surprise, a big surprise. I didn't expect it would be a CG (computer graphic) movie. I was looking forwards to this movie mainly because of Angelina Jolie. The story was not bad, a warrior/fighter/hero was tempted by a demon with a reward of being the king, and as an outcome he was cursed of childless (well, not entirely true if you have seen the movie). The CG was impressive. I was surprised because from the trailer I have seen it looked so "real". In the movie, even though it was not without its flaw, I must say it is near perfect, especially Angie's character. An entertaining movie for sure.

Golden Compass had another great actress, namely Nicole Kidman. She was stunning in the movie, with the charm and sexiness that couldn't miss. Alright, she wasn't really the main character (in fact no adults were in the movie). The story surrounded around a little girl, who was a "symbol-reader" of the golden compass. Yes, the compass could tell you everything you want to know, and only this little girl was able to read the symbol and code. I am pretty sure there will be more sequels coming out (just like Narnia in the coming summer) cause it left with an open-ending finish. Then, again, it was not a bad movie at all. I liked it.
