Coldplay is a name that I am not familiar with. I actually mixed up their name with Radiohead. I actually thought these two bands are the same. Maybe because both of these groups are alternative rock bands from United Kingdom. I first heard Coldplay's music was a while ago when I was still in United Kingdom. I actually disliked it back then. Thought it was very... dark, messy, aka not-pop. I guess the older I get, the weirder my taste in a lot of things changes. I heard their song again when I watched Cold Case. After putting in some effort to google download and try a lot of their songs, I found out the title - "Fix You" from their earlier album "X & Y". I guess I was really touched by the song (well, the ending of the Cold Case episode somehow mix very well with this song).
So, I wait for their new album to release, i.e., "Viva La Vida". Just listening it for the first time, I totally fall in love in this album. There is no point to point out which song I like most, cause I like them all. All the songs are chilling (the sense that I get), some even quite dark. The composition of the music is well-done (even though the vocal probably is not that mainstream). Alright, I would recommend "Life in Technicolor", "Lost!" (definitely!!), "Yes", "Viva La Vida", and "Violet Hill". I enjoy listening to their songs (soothing), while reading (currently) Congo on my Sony Reader. That makes the whole frankly-very-annoying-uncomfortable-shuttle-bus journey so much joyful!
