回顾：2008年是“小玩意”年

要回家了。每一年回家都会买一些东西孝敬家里人。今天回顾一下去年我到底浪费钱买和有了什么“小玩意”（gadget）。
Go home soon, and every year when I go home, I always buy some stuff for my family. And, now when I look back in 2008, I realize man I have spent tons of money on some gadgets...

1月左右 Asus EEE Series 700 PC：应该是差不多去年的现在这个时候吧，我买了一台9寸大屏幕的EEE PC笔记本。本身就喜欢而且需要一台小的笔记本，方便携带。而且也不需要太大太多的功能，只要有能连上网和一些office的功能就足够了。结果，我还是把这一台可爱的EEE给了我的胖弟。
I guess it was around the same time last year, I bought this 9" screen EEE PC laptop. I always love small laptop, and I always need one for portability. And, I don't need a lot of functions, mainly can get online, and do some office work is good enough. However, I have given it to my fatty brother.

2月左右 Philips Bluetooth Headset SHB6102：是Freddie老友送的礼物。很感激他。一直都很想要一个没有烦人的线的耳机。这一个也是我拥有的第一个Philips的东西（吸尘机不算）。但是，就是设计不好，戴久了会很不舒服。
It was a gift from old friend Freddie. I really appreciate that. I have always wanted a cordless or wireless headphone to get rid of those annoying wire. This could be my first Philips item. However, the design is just not good. If you wear it too long, you will feel very uncomfortable on your head and around your ears.

4月左右 Sony CyberShot DSC-T2：因为自己的相机给了家人，所以决定再为自己买一台。结果选择了索尼的T2。原因很简单，设计好，易使用，内置硬盘（4G）。到现在，我还很满意，只有一点不好的地方是它必须用自己的adapter才能装上USB线。
As my own camera was given to my family, I have decided to buy another one. And, I have chosen Sony T2 because the design is trendy, easy to use, and has a built-in 4G harddisk. Till now, I don't have any complaint, except one -- it has to use its own adapter to connect to USB.

6月左右 Sony Reader：我爱书，是一条书虫。买的书多过买的衣服。所以决定买一个电子书阅读机。索尼的设计是不能质疑的好。而且市面上选择性不多（其他价钱又超贵），所以买了索尼的。最近又发现Waterstones有卖一系列的好电子书，所以对它更爱不释手了。
I love books. I am a book worm. The number of books I have bought definitely more than the clothes I have bought. Therefore, I have decided to buy a eBook reader (to save space and to save money... in a way). Sony's design is certainly good, besides there are not much choices in the market (and some with high price tags). So, I have decided to get Sony Reader. Lately I realized that Waterstones has a series of good eBooks, that makes me love this gadget even more!

7月左右 Creative Zen Stone: 在健身房带着一个大的MP3 player真的很不方便，所以就花了150RMB（最便宜了）买了Creative的MP3。对Creative的产品是有信心的。而且这一个又小又便宜容量又够用耗电小。
It is certainly very inconvenient to carry a big MP3 player in the gym, so I have spent 150RMB (probably the cheapest one) to get this Creative MP3. I always have confidence in Creative products. In fact, this one is small, cheap, enough memory, and low power consumption.

11月左右 Apple iPhone 3G：为什么买它？无他，因为自己工作上有一些表现和收获，为了奖励一下自己就下手了。用了几个月真的不错。除了打电话发短信外，还玩游戏，看视频，听音乐新闻，而且还在工作上有一些帮忙。功能是很多，Apps也多姿多彩。
Why did I buy it? No reason except that since I have some fruitful performance at work and just to award myself. After few months of usage, I really think it is a nice piece of gadget. In addition to phone call, SMS, I also use it to play games, watch videos, listen to music and podcast. In fact, it helps me in my work. It is multifunctional, and there are tons of Apps.

看看，真的花了不少钱。我会停下手来吗？我想，我会控制的。
In retrospect, I certainly have "wasted" a bunch of money. Will I stop? I think I will make it under control!
