I Dreamed a Dream
I never like reality shows, like American Idols. However, somehow there are always some surprises from Britain's Got Talent. Something different about this show is that it lets people like you and me go up stage, in a down-to-earth (lame from the celebrity's perspective) outfit, no make-up, and sing on the stage in front of a huge audience.
Paul Potts a no-body Carphone salesman knocked the audience off with his Nessun Dorma. And, this time, a Scottish-live-alone-with-her-cat-never-been-kissed-47-year-old Susan Boyle rocked the audience with "I Dreamed a Dream" (YouTube link, which has got more than 2 million hits within 72 hours!!!)
Two moral behind this? One is don't judge the others from the outside, and second is that don't give up on your own dream! I actually felt a little tears in my eyes when I saw her performance!

Yeah, i got misty eyed as well after viewing her videoclip. So reminiscent of Paul Potts' performance a couple of years ago. Reinforces yet again the advice - "Never judge anyone by appearance". And may i add, "Never belittle the little people in society". Bravo for sharing!
I have been watching this over and over :) and it still gets me... I wish you well in Australia (which I think where you are from/in)
(Scratching head & feeling puzzled!). How did you know? I don't see any visitor tracker on your site. Is there one? Thought I was in stealth mode! Anyway, wish you well in Shanghai too! (It used to be sort of second home. Ex-Shanghainese son-in-law).
love her too ! i especially like it when she just does not care less how others see her. She is who she is, and she knows she will rock the audience. Such confidence, such humour, and such positivity of life.I think this is what we can really learn from her :)
yes totally agree :) i still watch the clip every night before going to bed :) as a reminder :P
