精于心，简于形

阿Tee提到minimalism，让我想起我一直以来的梦想。也许是因为经常都在外面乱跑，经历过搬家的痛苦，我一直以来都希望有一个简单的家，一来容易打理，二来容易搬迁。我们的生活充满了复杂，所以我希望能把物质简化，不然烦死人了。家有事，工作有事，等等，所以为何不把生活简化，过得舒适。但是，很讽刺的是，minimalism是需要代价的，所谓的代价就是钱钱钱（或许我的minimalism是有一点geeky了）。一台Playstation 3作为media center和游戏平台，一架Playstation Portable作为portable media player和mobile gaming device，一台Meizu Minione作为电话和personal digital assistant，一架小型却又功能强大的JBL speaker作为我的music player，一台简单小型的laptop作为工作和娱乐的主要工具，最后也是很重要的是一家小型的Samsung projector取代笨重的电视机。天啊，这一些东西只要一个大的行李箱就能带走，真是“精于心，简于形”。

Ah Tee mentioned about minimalism, make me think of a dream home of mine. Maybe because I have lived outside Malaysia for too long, have to move around a lot of times, which can be annoying enough, I always wish to have a simple (i.e., minimal) home. It is easy to clean and easy to move! Our lives are certainly full of complexity, from family, from friends, from partners, from work, etc. I always wonder why not make our home simple. If inside is already messy enough, the outside should be manageable. However, ironically minimalism does not come cheap (or maybe my requirement is a bit too high): a Playstation 3 as my media center and gaming platform, a Playstation Portable as my portable media player and mobile gaming device, a Meizu Minione as my handphone and personal digital assistant, a small laptop (preferrably Sony VAIO since I like the style and quality) as my working station and also content delivery point, a small but powerful JBL Speaker for music and video audio broadcast, and last but not least a Samsung lightweight projector to replace the heavy and clumsy television (even LCD and plasma still considered heavy for me). All these I certainly believe can fit into a big luggage, certainly fit the motto of Philips: "Sense and simplicity".
